Retreat Details

Expect to practice Yoga twice a day. The morning sessions will be focused on energizing the body as well as building a strong connection between the body, breath, and mind. The evening sessions will be restorative incorporate deep stretches with longer holds to help relax the body and mind. All levels of practice are welcome, especially beginners.

Vivienne has an acute awareness of the unique needs of every student in her class. She has a rare and intuitive teaching approach which she believes is born of a difficult childhood and early adulthood, and which underlies her ability to effectively adapt and modify asanas (yoga poses) for individuals of varying yoga experience, No matter what the style of yoga being taught, the ‘level’ of the class timetabled or the fitness level of the student, Vivienne insists on ensuring that each and every class is an amazing experience for each of her students. She will meet you where you’re at, guide you to ‘play your edge’ and stretch to grow your own potential and the sense of self-empowerment which comes with that. Watching her students ‘grow’ through their practice of yoga is her ultimate joy and reward as a teacher.

Instructor Details

Vivienne Dias completed a two year teacher training course at YogaWest with her first teacher Janet Catesby. She has explored many different styles of yoga over the past 10 years, including Ashtanga, Power, Lyengar and Anusara yoga, eventually founding her own Yogavibe studio in 2008. Her professional development as a teacher of yoga is ongoing as she continues to study with highly respected  teachers such as Christine Du Fresne (Anusara), Noah Maze, Kathryn Budig (Vinyasa), Dice Iida – Klein (Vinyasa), Amy Ippoliti, Sadie Nardini ( Core Strength Vinyasa) and John Friend (Founder Anusara). Vivienne honours all her teachers past and present as they have each played an integral role not only in her yoga but in her life more broadly.

It is her own, deeply personal, yoga journey which drives Vivienne’s unique, all-embracing teaching style and her passion and mission for making yoga accessible to as many people as possible, without boundary or limitation.

Through her Yogavibe studio, Vivienne is passionate about bringing this transformative practice of yoga to the people of South Western Sydney and creating a community of ‘like-hearted’ people to support each other in yoga and in life. She invites her students to embrace their limitless potential in life and to connect more fully and deeply with the essence of their own hearts so that they may connect more fully and deeply with others. Vivienne will inspire you to be the best person you can be both inside and out.

Aside from our twice daily practice, we will swim, hike, see the town and local market and also visit a local village. Also included is a half an hour massage.
