Retreat Details

PureBalance is a unique blend of yoga flow with a touch of pilates, delivering strength, tone, flexibility and absolute relaxation. The body becomes strong, lengthened and aligned, the mind and body free of tension, and as the day’s stress is left behind, we exist only in the bliss of now.

There is a strong focus on core stability and strength within each session and a positive attitude towards achieving balance and abundance in health and well-being. Every day there will be two sessions of an hour and a half each:  an early morning sunrise session, and a late afternoon practice, with a break on Wednesday afternoon.

Instructor Details

Deidre – Lee Allen is a vivacious and outgoing teacher whose innovative practice and boundless energy led her to develop her own PureBalance yoga business.

With a background in dance and choreography, she began her career in health and fitness as an aerobics instructor becoming the National Choreographer and Co-ordinator of the Les Mills Step program. It was Deidre-Lee who first put together this program which is now taught all around the world. She now runs her own Purebalance yogaflow program in her beautiful studio in Plimmerton, New Zealand with over 200 people in her classes each week.

She set up the very first personal training system for Les Mills – again, a first, and one that led to hundreds of trainers all over the world working under the Les Mills personal training systems. Deidre-Lee subsequently went on to train as a Natural Therapist through the Naturapathic College of NZ. She has combined her knowledge with Natural Therapies with her creative passion to bring you the gift of PureBalance. Now living in the beautiful coastal village of Plimmerton with her two children James and Jasmine she has found a greater sense of Balance in her life. To her the sea is energizing and her community inspirational – everyday she is thankful that she can bring the wonderful gift of PureBalance to her clients with creativity and passion.

Sunday  – Day 1
Open your heart and awaken the flow of energy within your body in this moving and meditative Purebalance sunrise session. Deidre-Lee will lead you to integrate your breath with your movements bringing awareness into your body and mind to fully strengthen and rejuvenate every aspect of your well-being.

Fully integrate your breath with your movements in this blissful, calming and stress releasing session. Learn how to feel completely relaxed with a renewed energy.

Monday – Day 2
Start where you are right now, be right here is the moment and allow yourself to unfold ~ this session teaches you to honour yourself, learn to become more centred, strong and ready to explore your potential within each of the Purebalance postures and poses.
9.00 Breakfast
Free morning to visit Savusavu town, go snorkelling, relax.
12.00 Picnic lunch at Devodara beach.
4.00pm – 5.30 pm  AFTERNOON SESSION – RELAX, RELEASE AND RESTORE Stretch out and surrender as you allow yourself to just be and as you breathe and release experience deeper stretching and a greater ability to truly relax.
7.00 Dinner

Tuesday – Day 3
Learn to achieve great postural awareness and alignment. Then build upon this inner strength from the centre of your body. Activate your core muscles; abdominals, back and pelvic floor muscles, to give support to your structure and tone your body.
9.00 Breakfast
10.00 Excursion to Waisele waterfall. Reasonable level of fitness required – and make sure you have a pair of shoes you can walk in – trainers / joggers / Merrills / Tevos – NOT flip flops.
Return for a late lunch.
4.00pm – 5.30 pm  AFTERNOON SESSION – RELAX, RELEASE AND RESTORE Strengthen and tone your body ~ then lengthen and stretch out your muscles finishing this session in meditation.

Wednesday– Day 4

7.30 – 9.00: Breakfast.
Free morning: arrange whatever private trips you wish (these are not included in the price).
- hire our boat to snorkel,
-visit the Flora Tropica Gardens with their marvellous collection of palm trees from around the world
- visit the black pearl farm
- take a river tubing trip
4.00 – 6.30 Excursion to local village to see the way of life.

Thursday – Day 5
7.30am-9.00am  SUNRISE SESSION – PUREBALANCE TOTAL MIND BODY CONNECTION Bringing together all the elements of Purebalance – the breath, awareness, movement, strength, flexibility and total relaxation. Enjoy just letting yourself go within the session to leave your mat with an amazing  sense of strength and absolute relaxation.
4.00pm – 5.30 pm  AFTERNOON SESSION – RELAX, RELEASE AND RESTORE 1.5 hours/4.00pm
Strengthen and tone your body ~ then lengthen and stretch out your muscles finishing this session in meditation.

(optional) 8.00 Visit to the hot baths. Savusavu has a number of geo thermal hot springs which can be seen bubbling to the surface just past the football field behind the MH supermarket on the way to town. They are far too hot to touch – but the local doctor has built three concrete bath in the grounds of the medical centre and for F$15 a head, you can go and bathe in them for as long as you want. They are very simple but clean and pleasant. Be aware that some people sleep very soundly after a visit, but others find them rather over-energising and sleep less well than usual!

Friday – Day 6
Bringing together the breathe, being  in the moment, aligning  your body with great postural awareness and connecting  with your core, to creating a dynamic flowing yoga practise.
