Retreat Details

Jen’s first yoga retreat at Daku opened this year’s programme, and she returns just 2 months later to run her second.  Join her for a heart-opening yoga retreat to find a special inner peace. This retreat offers a blissful journey into the heart with a combination of Vinyasa Flow, traditional Hatha practice, and  restorative Yin yoga classes – and a wonderful side trip to see the dolphins of Natewa Bay.

Throughout the course of this week-long retreat, you will learn how to let go of the past, live in the present, and truly open your heart to experience love in many forms. It’s time to break free of our human conditioning and move confidently into the future!

We will practice Vinyasa Flow in the morning (lots of heart opening postures and backbends that you will gradually learn over the course of the week) and a restorative Yin Yoga class in the evenings. In Yin Yoga, each pose is held for 3-5 minutes each, which cultivates a deep sense of healing, internal peace and of course…LOVE!

Our trip to Natewa Bay takes us along the coast and then out in a boat to see the spinner and dolphins. There is a resident pod of dolphins in the bay, and it is common to see 30 or 40 at a time. Obviously a sighting cannot be guaranteed but our experience is that we will see them 2 times out of three. And even if we don’t sight them, the bay is a very lovely place and we will stop to snorkel on the fantastic coral reefs on the way back.

Instructor Details

Jen is a certified Hatha Yoga teacher from the US with a focus on Vinyasa Flow, Power Yoga and Yin Yoga. Shortly after adopting a daily yoga practice, Jen’s life was rapidly transformed from negative to positive. As a result of the dramatic mind/body/soul transformations that changed her life forever, Jen was determined to share the healing practice of yoga with the world.

Prior to yoga, Jen (like a lot of people), was ruled by ego – allowing that little voice to win every time. Instead of listening to her heart and pursing her deeply rooted dreams, she allowed fear and her conditioning to hold her back for many years. Due to her dedicated yoga practice, Jen learned to BREATHE, let go of the things that no longer served her, and follow her heart. Following her heart has led her down the road less traveled – the road that was previously only traveled in her wildest dreams.
